Treatment of the epiretinal membrane
We remove the epiretinal membrane, a film that forms on the retina in its central part – the macular. The membrane can develop secondarily as a consequence of inflammation, diabetes, vitreous haemorrhage, injuries, or other diseases which stimulate fibrosis.
For whom?
Patients with complaints of distortion of objects and a slightly decreased visual acuity.
How can we help you?
• We will perform optical coherence tomography to determine a membrane.
• We will discuss a possibility of vitrectomy and membrane removal to reduce distortion and improve visual acuity.
