Cross-linking
Cross-linking is an operation on the cornea in the case of keratoconus. This is a disease caused by congenital weakness of the corneal tissue of the eye, due to which its shape changes.
For whom?
Patients with a cone bulging of the eye cornea, progressive astigmatism, and patients with double vision and/or curved lines.
How can we help you?
The cross-linking is removing the surface layer of the cornea with an ultrafast German excimer laser Schwind Amaris 1050, instilling special drops and photopolymerizing the cornea in the ultraviolet light of a Sailer lamp.
As a result, the risk of blindness is reduced.
